Hotels on Murano

I am looking for a hotel on the island of Murano, part of Venice.
Does anyone have any suggestions.
I could get a hotel in Venice and take the vaporetto, of course, but I'd rather stay on Murano itself,
since I'm studying glass art.

Go to Booking.com and search for Murano hotels. There are several listed. Pick one you like and book directly with the hotel.

I must say that in all the trips I've made to Venice, and either changing boats on Murano or going to Murano I have never seen a hotel that stuck in the mind nor heard of anybody staying on Murano.

It sounds like the right place for you though. Good luck - I hope you find something. I would have given the same advice as given above by Sasha..

If perhaps your study of glass art includes the study and/or practice of mosaics, how about staying at the guest house at Orsoni Mosaici, on the main part of Venice, about a 15 min walk from the train station in Canneregio? I stayed there two yrs ago when doing a wonderful 5 day mosaics course at Orsoni, but the guest house (a b&b) welcomes folks who are also not doing their courses. You'll get the opportunity to see the glass furnaces and learn about the production of glass for mosaics at one of the oldest and most important centers for glass mosaic production. Can find out about Orsoni and the guest house online.

My husband and I stayed at the Hotel al Soffiadoro on Murano. It was basic but clean and MUCH less expensive than staying in Venice. Taking the ferry is easy, inexpensive and takes about 20 minutes.

Thanks for all the specific responses, much appreciated.

I did try Hotel al Soffiadoro but it was full up for the times I needed.
I have a week reserve at LaGare on Murano, and will probably do a second week at Orsoni.
