I'm sure this has been covered several times..but can't find the topics. I'll be arriving at Marco Polo and then traveling North to Udine by train. But I'll be staying in Mestre for a day or two. Can anyone recommend convenient hotel that has transportation both from the airport and to the train station?

We stayed at the Hotel Paris in Mestre, nice rooms, reasonably priced and 1/2 block from the train station. (www.hotelparis.it) You would have to e-mail them about airport transfers.

There is regular shuttle bus service from Marco Polo to the Mestre train station.
We stayed at the Best Western Bologna which is directly across the street from the train station. We found the hotel to be very comfortable and clean. They also had a very nice breakfast included in the room price. There is an inexpensive shuttle bus service (luggage stowed below) to and from the airport that stops right in front of the train station.
