Email: [email protected] We were very happy here: All'Angelo Hotel in 2011 - right behind St Marks so that if you got lost (what else happens!) you can follow the signs back home easily. Also, gave you the advantage of seeing the Square relatively empty early in the morning and late in the evening.
Booking.com is the largest website online. And they have plenty of accommodations in these cities.
For Rome, see RonInRome.com for good places to stay. He has the best website there is for a tourist in Rome.
Hi. Whatever you do, try 9flats.com. I waded through heaps and heaps of sites. I found that hotels, for all the 'competition', pretty much stayed the same. At least with 9flats there is some character. The registration process was a snap and once we decided on a place and sent a message, we got a reply overnight. Now we get to spend 3 nights in Rome for less than €300! The bonus is right in the heart of Trastevere and a gorgeous apartment.
