Any recommendations for hotels in Turin (Torino)? Looking for a nice 3- or 4-star within walking distance (15 minutes maximum) from the city center; clean rooms, quiet area near public transportation, and a good quality breakfast included in the room price. Would particularly appreciate hearing from anyone who actually stayed in the hotel that they are recommending. Grazie Mille!
FYI, the hotel star system in Italy is different. It does not indicate quality. It only indicates the presence of certain amenities that you might not care about, such as an elevator, parking and a 24 hour front desk. There are many 2 star hotels that are actually nicer than 3 star hotels. Be sure to also consider a B&B, since you're specifically looking for breakfast. Happy travels.
Thanks very much Michael. I was not aware of the 'star criteria' used in Italy. Nevertheless, the stated desirable qualities remain - now expanded to consider hotels and B&Bs.
