I am staying in Rome one night before going on a cruise. DOes anyone know of a nice, quiet, comfortable, centrally located place to stay in Rome for under $200?
Try Fellini Inn (www.fellinibnb.com) or Nicolas Inn (www.nicolasinn.com).
We are staying at the River Palace hotel... good reviews on Trip Advisor. Not in the historic center, but I was willing to compromise on that for a nicer place to stay at a little lower price.
Try the Rick Steves recommendations on page 248 in his Rome book
Yeah--there are lots of places. See Rick's book. I've never been disappointed.
My wife and I stayed at OCEANIA and they were GREAT! around 150 Euro each night. We walked every where in Rome and we felt very safe at this location. It is about a 10 minute walk from the Train Station (Main)
Have you tried Cross-pollinate website? It's run by an american couple living in Rome who also run the Beehive (great little hotel near the train station. Cross-pollinate has B&B's in Rome Florence and Venice and is a great website. You will find something nice for less then 200.
