Planning on staying 2 nights in Rome at the end of my trip. Would like to stay around $250-265 a night. Any suggestions would be grately appreciated.

I was very happy with a stay at Albergo Cesàri in July. The service was great and it's in a pretty convenient location, about half way between the Pantheon and Trevi Fountain. It is very far from spartan and is still well under your price range.
