In Bologna there is a nice hotel several other posters and I have stayed at near the central piazza. I don't have the name handy, but you should be able to find it by using the search box at the top right.

I used this site several times for our trips to Italy (even for my next one coming up on May 16)
you can search by location, star rating, price.
I've had great luck with this site to find a place that was wonderful in Bologna, Milan, and just used it for reservations for Turin and Genoa.
