Greetings! According to Rick, we should stay in a 4-5 star hotel in Palermo for safety reasons. What r your top 3 hotel choices in Palermo that are close to sites of interest, clean and moderately priced? There are 3 couples traveling.

Andrea, You could have a look at This Hotel in Palermo. Although it's a 3-Star, I expect that it will be perfectly safe as RS tours use it. You could also check Trip Advisor for other listings. Happy travels!

I would recommend Hotel Posta in Palermo.
Great location for walking just about anywhere is Palermo.

I think Rick went a little over the top there. Have stayed in both high end and low budget and never felt unsafe.

I loved A'gor Arte B&B. It was near the train station, and we never had ANY problems....except that it was almost impossible to find. It was an OASIS!!!!!!!!! Unbelievable. Highly recommend it. Don't be so scared. Anything can happen anywhere. ;) Just enjoy and be as careful as you would in any city you're visiting.

Hi Andrea, We just left Palermo on May 28. We stayed at the very central and safe Hotel Joli. It is a very affordable hotel with nice rooms, with small balconies overlooking a garden piazza, smallish bathrooms and a decent breakfast included. We found it on Venere.com and only paid Euro 59 per night. Staff was very gracious and helpful. We were nervous about staying in Palermo but found it very attractive with wide boulevards, great outdoor cafes and a good Ho Ho bus. We wish that we could have stayed more than 2 nights.
