Hotels in Padua

We are going to Padua principally to see the Giotto frescoes.
Any hotel suggestions?

There is a section on Padua in RS 2012 Venice Guide Book that we used to find a hotel in Padua in September. You can purchase that book elsewhere on this web site if you decide to get one if you do not already have it. See you there

A couple of years ago we enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Al Cason in Padua. It is a family run hotel with a very nice breakfast buffet. They have a small bar and a nice restaurant where we ate dinner a few times in our 4 or 5 nights. Wifi in lobby area. Rooms are very large, spotless and comfy. Good AC (when the It.gov't approves it's use.) It is very near the train station, ideal for us as we took several day trips to Vicenza, Verona, and Venice. The setting is safe but really not scenic, but the location near station and transport' access was great. Easy bus into town center as I recall. There's a small patio in the rear, and though trains pass by, well, that's la vida italiana. Prices are very nice, and the folks who run the place were kind and helpful. The Scrovegni Chapel is fantastic...we got the longer time admission (in the evening?) and it was well, well worth it. Padua has much to offer, mix of old and new. It was an unexpected favorite. Safe travels!

A couple of years ago we stayed at the Al Fagioni. It was really nice. Check it out on TripAdvisor. Our room had a terrace attached, which was really nice, but I think there might only be one room like that.
It was central and very clean and comfortable. The owners were nice, too.
