The hotels and rooms recommended in Rick's guide seem to be booked the dates we will be in CT. Any suggestions for hotels/rooms in Manarola or Monterosso. We wanted to stay in Vernazza but that appears to be out of the question.

Margie, WHEN will you be travelling to the Cinque Terre? Vernazza may not be "out of the question", depending on when you'll be there. Have a look at the Thread Current information on Vernazza which contains a link to a website that shows which businesses will be opening this spring, and when they'll be open. If you'd prefer to stay in Monterosso, you could have a look at Hotel Villa Steno or Hotel Pasquale or if you have a really generous travel budget, have a look at Hotel Porto Roca. It's on the far end of the old town, but I'm sure you'd be VERY comfortable there! Happy travels!
