Hotels in Italy-Rome, Florence, Venice

Hello!
I am traveling to Rome, Florence, and Venice with my young adult daughter in June for the first time, and am trying to decide between a few hotels. Is anyone familiar with any of these?

Rome:
Boutique Hotel Galatea
Hotel Viminale
Hotel Lancelot

Florence:
Essence Hotel
Hotel Orto de' Medici
Eco Urban B&B (concerned about location-I read the area around the train station has been having some issues)
Palazzo de Contei
Artist's Palace
Maison Ginori Guelfa

Venice:
I'm thinking of just getting an apartment

For Venice, if you’d like a hotel or pensione, consider

  • Hotel Ala (very close to Giglio vaporetto stop and Piazza San Marco)
  • Pensione Guerrato (a favorite of Rick’s)
  • Hotel Al Ponte Mocenigo (steps from San Stae vaporetto stop)

I was just in Venice last week at Al Ponte Mocenigo. In one of the neighborhoods, I saw a poster someone had put on a wall:

“Your house was my house. 8345 Venetian apartments rented to tourists. 8683 Venetian residents lost in the last 10 years.”

Venice is magical—enjoy!!

In Venice, we stayed at Hotel Bucintoro, a small hotel. It had great views of the canal and was in a less touristy area of Venice.

Pensione Guerrato used to have an apartment to let. Might want to check if you are set on an apartment.
