I am having a terrible time booking 3 rooms (3 couples) for 2 nights in Florence for mid-October. We want a central location and are hoping for under 125 euros. Any suggestions?
Orti di Cimabue (Double - $115) Le Stanze Dei Medici (Double - $119) Hotel Mario's (Double - $133) There are lots of options on booking.com under 125 euros
You can filter your results by price and location (choose Florence Historic Center)
October is high season so you may have trouble finding good hotels. Check out booking.com and venere.com. Both are great booking sites. Donna
Well I have a great B&B centrally located that's E135 but like all the good ones they're booked up several months ahead for October. B&B's as well as hotels are very impacted by high/low season tourist traffic. Seasoned travelers know all this which is cold comfort for you. As for trying for three rooms at this late date I'm thinking you'll have to stay outside the historic center. Look at hotels outside the city center and just plan on taking a cab in. Cab rides will not break the bank in Florence (or Rome). OR, stay at an outlying town and train in. The train station is close to the historic center.
