My 22 year old son and I are traveling together in May for two weeks in italy and 2 days in Barcelona (taking ferry from cittavecchia). We want to share a room to save money but need twin beds and all the places I see just have one bed Can you ask for twin beds or what kind of room do you need to request? Do they have twin beds in any bed and breakfasts? we are flying to Milan, train to como, train to florene, rome and naples and amalfi coast and cinque terra.
Any suggestions for how to ask for twin bed and places to stay.Leslie

A request for twin beds should get you two twin size beds. Just tell the hotel or B&B what you need. We generally find twin beds more common than a single double bed.
