hotels

Booking an independent 3 city tour-Venice, Florence, Rome in Autumn. Researching and reading, but overwhelming. We like first class hotels; however, finding that they are very expensive. Want to be near center of activity, not off beater path. I have watched all of Rick's videos on PBS several times and thought this a great place to start. Thank you

And the question is ?????? The Steves' guidebooks for those cities have excellent suggestions if you are asking about hotels.

Try booking.com for hotel suggestions, you can filter results by price, location, stsrs, etc. Hotels are given stars for the services offered (elevator, en suite bathrooms, etc.). You can also see photos and read reviews from guests who have stayed there recently.
