Hotel Trastervere

My husband and I will be traveling to Rome the end of October of this year. We will be coming into Fuimicillo Airport on Monday and staying at the Hotel Trastevere for 4 days and 3 nights before going on a cruise (with Rome as the starting point). We wanted to know if anyone has any information on the Hotel Trastevere, located on Via Luciano Manera. It is located in the Trastevere neighborhood, which is near a lot of the attractions in Rome. Also, any tips about getting tickets to the area attractions would be greatly appreciated. My husband is a big blue's fan and I read there was a jazz and blue's club called "Big Mamma" (?) Not sure where it's located.
Thanks!

Vivian,
See the topic in this list Roma Pass a very good deal for 3 days of metro/bus and free or discounts to many attractions.
I found it very convenient and a good price.

We stayed at the Hotel Trastevere for 9 nights at the end of February and found the place very acceptable. Room was clean and nice, location is great, and the staff were helpful. The guy that runs the place (Amando?)speaks very good english, and there was another gal that was at the front desk that spoke english and was helpful. We were concerned about the possibility of noise, but never really had any issues except that the market area in back of the hotel does start up early with some banging. It can be a trick to find the first time, though Via Manera appears (and does) to cross Viale di Trastevere, the Roman knack of naming intersections as Piazzas and changing names every block can get confusing. Via de San Francesco di Ripa though is well marked and crosses Via Manera and Via Trastevere. Around the corner is the Piazza Santa Maria de Trastevere, a wonderful, active square, restaurants and bars abound. We especially liked Popi Popi, just down the street from the hotel toward Via Trastevere for a delicious meal at a reasonable cost, and the best pizza in town is to be found at Dar Poeta on Vicola del Bologna (must order the dessert calzone with nutella and ricotta). There is a small grocery nearby for a bottle of wine and water, overall a charming neighborhood and a great hotel. (Just don't tell anyone else on here)
