Hi, Can anyone suggest a hotel near Rome FCO for 1 night? A shuttle to the airport is necessary. We have a noon flight to NY the next day. Much appreciated.
Thanks!
The easiest way is to stay at the FCO Hilton. You can walk to the terminal from there or take the three minute free shuttle to the terminal. That's what we do when flying out of Rome.
If you are moving from Rome to FCO that night, it’s really not necessary.
To be at the airport by 9, be in a taxi from Rome by 8.
Taxi fixed rate is 50 euros

Or
Do a search here for FCO hotels, topic comes up a lot

There is also a Hilton Garden Inn very close to the airport, with a shuttle, takes about ten minutes, a little cheaper than the regular airport Hilton. Both Hilton's are overpriced, in my opinion, so you are paying for the convenience. Do book early, as the prices increase as your dates approach, and they do book up fully. Safe travels!
You could look at hotels in the town of Fiumicino -- it is a small fishing port town very near FCO. Most of the lodging there has shuttle service. We always stay at Hotel Tiber and it works out quite well. They have an airport shuttle to take you to and from the airport for a reasonable cost. We were just there 2 weeks ago and I would say the ride to the airport took all of 12 minutes -- very easy breezy. Hotel was fine and the main drag of the town is a 3 minute walk from the hotel where you will find numerous restaurants for a nice seafood meal on your last night. It has become a tradition now that we spend our last night at the Tiber and enjoy linguine with clam sauce for dinner!
If you book Hotel Tiber in Fiumicino and don’t want to be disturbed by a party taking place on their rooftop terrace event space, make sure to request a room not on the top floor (directly under the terrace).
Ask me how I know.
Otherwise the hotel was fine and indeed very convenient to the airport.
