We will be driving the Stelvio Pass from east to west.
Can anyone recommend a hotel room for two in either that area of Italy or in Switzerland? We do not want to pay more than $150/night. We will be driving to Varenna the next night. Thank you!!

Hi Paula, The closest we can come to recomending accomodations in the area of the Stelvio Pass is at the Hotel Panorama in Mals/Malles (Vinschgau/Val Venosta area of Italy) on the eastern end of the Stelvio. We stayed here in April '05. http://www.biohotel-panorama.it The low price is 120 Euro for 2 persons, but it includes a fabulous buffet breakfast and gourmet 4 course dinner. Not a bad deal at all. BTW: We love NH! Have relatives in Keene. Paul
