We stayed at this hotel twice but over seven years ago. I noticed that it is not listed in Rick Steves' current Italy book so I'm wondering if it is still a good place to stay. Any other hotel recommendations in that same area? Thanks in advance.
I don't have my book with me, but I think this is the hotel that closed down last year. I stand to be corrected.
The Speronari was being rennovated. Check TripAdvisor for recent posts. I stayed at Hotel Berna- near train station, decent price, great breakfast.
I've also stayed at Speronari twice but the last time was in 1998. I believe that I read that it closed for renovation. It was a great location. You might check Tripadvisor and see if there are any recent reviews.
I've also stayed at Hotel London in Milan. This hotel was ok and location was decent. It was between Duomo and Sforza castle.
