Hotel Sonya in Rome

Has any one ever stayed at Hotel Sonya? What did you think?

I stayed there in 2006 with a RS tour group. Close to train station and convenient to subway stop (2 blocks away I think). Hotel staff was friendly and made some changes to my room reservations post-tour that were above and beyond. Free internet access in lobby. Decent breakfast (but the room is VERY small, so be prepared to wait). Ancient elevator to rooms was too scary for me, so you may face some stairs. Be aware that they use an electronic key (like a credit card) and in order to turn on the lights, after entering the room, you must insert it in a slot near the door (it's not obvious when you're tired). The desk staff must get a lot of calls, they were patient with mine. I made online reservations and had no problems.

We stayed here several years ago and found it to be a good location, very nice, clean and friendly. We would stay again when in Rome.
