I've read reviews that sound great but I really trust this group..has anyone stayed here?
Not stayed there, but I researched it as one of my possibilities. Close to the train station, clean, cheap, AC, breakfast included and good reviews on TripAdvisor. If I needed an economical hotel close to the station this is probably where I would stay. If you want to spend a little more look at hotel Abbazia.
I have stayed there and happily recommend it. The rooms are bright and clean. It is a budget hotel, of course, with many rooms sharing a toilet and shower on the hall.
The staff is friendly and, while close to the train station and off the Lista de Spagna, it's quiet. There's a great neighborhood bar on the block for morning coffee.
Jo - As Doug mentions , in most cases, you will be sharing a bathroom - Not Fun!!
I have stayed many many times at - http://www.hotelcasanova.it/
Directly behind Piazza San Marco and easy walking to The Rialto area - My friends Dario and Stefano man the front desk and will take good care of you. An excellent FREE Breakfast !!
Ciao, Greg
Some rooms share a bathroom while some rooms are ensuite.
hi Jo, I stayed there last summer. A double room with ensuite bathroom at a very reasonable price. Clean, bright, well-run, with A/C and TV. There are cheaper rooms with shared bathroom. The walls are a bit thin so I could hear the people in the room next door, but it didn't bother me. It's on a tiny side street off the main street near the train station.
