Hotel room near Termini station in Rome

Hello everyone

I'm wondering if anyone has a good recommendation for a nice place to stay for 4 adults in Rome preferably near train station but in a nice area.

We fly out of Rome the next day but would like our last night to be in Rome. We will be coming from Cortona on the train. We are talking about the middle of May.

Thank you.

We stayed at the Hotel Diana, near .Termini, a couple of years ago. It is a nice hotel in a decent area. Whether or not it is a "nice" area is very subjective. Generally, Train station areas are a bit grotty, but the Diana is on a street with lots of restaurants and other hotels and lots of life. Very good breakfasts, too, as I remember.

Without knowing your budget, I can recommend Hotel Raffaello. We had a wonderful stay there. Immaculately clean, helpful & friendly staff, great breakfast and located close to many small trattorias. It was an easy walk to Termini. http://www.hotelraffaello.it/it/

Go to Booking.com and type in Rome Termini. You won't believe how many properties are in the area.

I always filter my search by lowest price first and look for properties with substantially higher customer ratings than others in the same price range. And I've never been dissatisfied.

I like to stay in either Hotel Sonya or Hotel Aberdeen, both of which are an easy walk to Roma Termini.

If you're planning on using the Leonardo Express to get to the airport, I've found that it's a good idea to buy the tickets the day prior to travel so that I don't have to deal with that when hauling luggage. However, DON'T forget to validate tickets prior to boarding the train on the day of travel or you'll risk hefty fines which will be collected on the spot!

We stayed at the Contilia just a couple blocks from the station, also stayed in the Sonya on an RS trip, but moved to Contilia the last 2 days on our own - better rates.

Thank you everyone for your advice. I have booked the Aberdeen Hotel. Hope this was a good choice. There is even a Rick Steves discount. They offer shuttle also to the airport.

It will be nice to enjoy Rome our last night in Italy.

Good to know about the airport shuttle from the Aberdeen. We will be staying there this June. Thanks!
