Hi all,
I have another hotel question. I'm going to be in Rome for New Year's and I want to stay at a cheap but not sketchy place near Termini. I'm staying at the Beehive on Dec. 30 and 31st because I've been there before and it's lovely BUT they are sold out on Jan 1 and I need to find a different hotel. Does anyone know of a nice, cheap place to stay near Termini? It doesn't need to be fancy, it's just for one night. Thanks.

Stayed at Hotel Selene before a RS Tour. It was the hotel the tour used too. My 12 yr old and I arrived a few days early and stayed there,, I thought it was ok,, room was great,, clean etc . A bit odd that lobby is actually almost seperate from main building,, but staff were fine . About a block or two from station,, easy walk .

The area can be gritty, ck Hotel Aberdeen or Oceano 5 min walk away from Termini.

If she is staying in the Beehive, then Aberdeen and Oceano is not going to meet her standard for cheap. We have used the Contilla for a couple of one nights when passing through Rome. One block south out the side door of Termini. Probably not as cheap as you want but less than the Aberdeen.
