After visiting Croatia, we will stay on Lake Como for 4 nights, then would like to spend 2 nights in Verona. I've searched the forum and found hotel recommendations from long ago (2016). Some recommendations were Giuletta & Romo Hotel, Hotel Torcolo, Hotel Milano, Residenze Charducci. We will have a car. Can one drive in the city of Verona without restrictions? Are there any hotels with parking? Many thanks, Linda
To find more recent search results you need to use the filters-by Date
You can’t really drive in to Verona-there are ZTLs, the center is mostly pedestrianized
To find a hotel with parking try using Booking.com and use the filters for parking, location, budget etc
You can book there or find hotel website
The reviews there are legit as only people who have actually stayed at the property can leave reviews
Where will you go after Verona? Can you just drop the car there?
We stayed at Hotel Accademia -in the historic center
Thanks, Christine. After Verona, we will drive to Venice - just to fly from there the next day. (So we won't actually go into Venice - just stay near the airport.) So we will need to keep a car. I was worried about ZTL zone, which I knew about from our time in Firenze. (When we were in Firenze, we only rented a car at the end of our time there as we were leaving - to drive to towns in the Tuscan countryside and down to the Amalfi coast.) I'll check Booking.com. Many thanks.
Another endorsement of Hotel Accademia
I suppose if you can’t find parking in Verona you could drop the car there and train to Mestre then to airport
Saves the hassle/parking expense and 2 days rental
Thanks! I booked Hotel Accademia, as per your recommendations. It got great review on Booking.com. They do have parking nearby for a fee, which is usual for a city. It looks great! Thanks so much for both of your recommendations!
Oh! That’s great
Enjoy!
