We will have 1 1/2 days in Rome before we travel to the Amalfi Coast by Train. Wondering if I should book a hotel in the city or near the train stations. Any hotel or Airbnb recommendations would be great.

We stayed at Hotel Nerva (Monti) and really liked how most of Rome we could walk. Would stay there again

The main station -Roma Termini- is in the center
Easy walks to most sights and the area is perfectly fine

Near Plaza Navona and the Pantheon- Palazzo Navova- an antique palazzo with a modern interior, great location, rooftop bar, great location.

As many have recommended, we enjoyed the Hotel Smeraldo. Nice restaurant right next door.
Cab to Terminale cost @ 12 Euro, takes 15 minutes.
