We will be driving and looking for a hotel, agriturismo or B&B that we can easily access with car and offers parking. Thank you!
Writing from Ravenna now , arrived earlier this afternoon . Staying at the NH hotel just a block from the train station . Convenient location , nice comfortable room , and parking lot right in front of the hotel . Ravenna is beautiful , I am sorry it took me so long to come here , I am charmed .
Thank you Steven
I can recommend without hesitation M Club De Luxe B&B.
It was probably my favorite lodging on a two week visit to Italy last year. So much so, that as I plan my next trip there I'm trying to find a reason to visit Ravenna again. I don't know that I can so soon with so much else to see in that beautiful country, at least not after just having visited.
It has homey rooms and large, modern bathrooms (I thought it was large for American standards, not just compared to what one typically finds in Italian accommodations)
There was parking nearby for commercial shops, but I don't know about parking there for the inn. It's right by a gate through the old city wall, with another modern section just outside, so you might find parking there.
I'm sure Michael, the proprietor, can answer that. He was a very helpful and welcoming host. He gave me very good recommendations for eats.
Be sure to get a piadina sandwich while in town. Also, cappelletti is the local pasta. Little hats. And very tasty.
The location is about a 15 minute walk through town from the train station, beginning in a newer part of town and transitioning to the much older section, which contains all of the sites with important mosaics. Easy walk from the b&b to all of those sites.
Thank you Ribaholic!
We loved Casa Masoli http://www.casamasoli.it/. We stayed in the lovely Lord Byron and Teresa room. Sorry, I'm not sure about parking, since we arrived by train.
Ravenna is wonderful! Enjoy!
thank you for your recommendation.
