My husband and I are traveling to Italy August 25-September 4th for our honeymoon. We will be in Amalfi for 5 nights and Lake Como for 4 nights.
We are looking for hotel suggestions in both places- both mid range and higher range price points. We would also love some suggestions on what city/towns we should stay in on the Coast, what places are an absolute must for a visit, what places we could skip out on, and if there are any other areas in the Lake Como area that you would suggest over Lake Como. Does it make sense to stay in one spot the whole time in Amalfi and take day trips to the other areas or would we need to split it up into two different locations to cut down on driving time? We have nothing booked for this trip other than flights, so if there are other city/town suggestions around those areas that you think are better, we'd love the hear it (we have flights from Naples and Milan MXP so only suggestions that make sense using those airports please).
And yes, I already know that there is a ton to see in both locations that we could never get to in this short amount of time, but this is the timeframe that worked for our schedules and two areas we have been dying to visit since our trip to Florence in 2018.
