Hello, I’m looking for hotel recommendations for Rome and Florence. They should be convenient for trains and sightseeing. Air conditioners a must. King beds and included breakfast a plus! Doesn’t have to be fancy but must be clean! What are your feelings on Marriott Villa accommodations? It’s like an Airbnb but With Marriott booking correct?

I would also search the forum, but search each city separately. For example, do a search for "rome hotel" then limit the search to the last 2 years. You do that by clicking on Filter by Type then choosing Travel Forum, then go down to Filter by Date, and choose the option 2 years and newer. There will still be a lot but you can meander through them and see if you like anything.
Same thing with Florence.

Not familar with Marriott Villa, but will recommend Hotel California -- yep, that really is the name. Very nice facility, beautiful, clean, and good breakfast. And one can walk to just about anywhere from there.
