I have refundable reservations at Hotel Milano and Spa for early May. The reviews on booking.com were good, however some of the reviews on the hotel website are not so good. Anyone stay here? Other recommendations? Would like to stay around $200.00 a night.
We stayed there in 2016. It is in a very good location--easy walk to things to see. Our stay was fine. It is modern, not old world charm-y, but was clean and comfortable. The "and Spa" part may make it seem grander than is is, but the room was clean, the breakfast had a good selection of foods, and the hotel desk recommended some great local restaurants.
Hotel Giulietta e Romeo is well within your price range. We stayed there in 2015 and were happy with every aspect of the hotel. An easy walk from the train station, good breakfast, helpful staff, great room, etc.
I stayed at Arte nel Centro, a 2-room B & B on the main avenue of Verona, about half-way between the train station and the old center. Lovely rooms, excellent breakfast, affordable prices, very highly rated on booking.com, but small are often full, I imagine. The location is great if you plan to take any day trips from Verona. If not, you might be better off staying right in the old center.
Thank you all for your reply's. This forum is so very helpful
Hotel Bologna in Verona is located next to Piazza Bra and within a block of the Roman Arena. Beautifully appointed rooms and excellent breakfast!
My wife and I also stayed at the Hotel Giulietta e Romeo. We would highly recommend it as well. Wonderful staff, accommodations and location.
