Hotel Recommendation for Venice

I was wondering if anyone has stayed in Locanda Casa Querini or Casa Rezzonico in Venice. I am trying to decide between the two (both recommended in Rick Steves book.) Any ideas?

Tina:

Try this website www.cross-pollinate.com This is a bed and breakfast booking site run by an American couple living in Rome. They have singles, doubles, triples and quads. Their prices are very reasonable. I have stayed with them everytime I have been in Italy (5 times) and they are great plus they speak english if you encounter any problems!!! Give them a try. By the way, they are in Rick's book under Rome hotels (the beehive).

No, but later this summer our family of 4 is staying at one of the 3 new apartments that Hotel Campiello (in Rick S. book) has that are just a few minutes from San Marco. The hotel was booked but the apartments look very nice and include the breakfast buffet at the main hotel just a few meters away. In 2005 we stayed at Albergo Guerrato (also in R. Steves' book) near the Rialto Market, which was very nice and reasonably priced but full when I tried to book. In 2002 we stayed at Hotel Rialto right on the Grand Canal. This place is a bit pricey but we had wonderful Grand C. views. Good luck with your decision!

Thanks to both of you for your suggestions! We actually decided to book a different hotel entirely--Pensione la Calcina. It's in Rick's book and received great reviews on trip advisor, so hopefully it will work out well. Thanks again!
