Our group of 7 adults will be spending one night in Milan. We will arrive via train from CT and then the next day head to Venice for our Rick Steves tour. We will arrive on a Sunday. We want to check out the Duomo and some of the other sights in that area. Does anyone have a suggestion of a decent and somewhat affordable hotel for a quick one night stay?

I think there are other posts on this subject (try searching "Milan hotel"). I stayed at Hotel Berna, near train station. (http://www.hotel-milano-berna.com/) Great breakfast, close to train and metro, free minibar (non alcoholic), decent rates (10% discount if booked 21 days ahead). Double check TripAdvisor for recent reviews.

Best Western Hotel Galles, you can see my review on tripadvisor for May 2006 ...you'll figure out which one is me!
Make sure you make your reservation way in advance fo the last supper...The grounds of Sforza Castle are great for a picnic!
