Has anyone ever used the service of Hotel Planner in Rome or elsewhere.
I am in the process of finding accommodation for up to 20 people for a family reunion in Rome, Florence, and Bologna
I would appreciate any info regarding this service.
Have you tried a travel agent? This may be your best resource, not necessarily the least expensive. Most try to put you into a slightly more expensive lodging they get a kick back from.
If you need 6-8 rooms, you may do this easily, by using booking.com to find hotels that are in the location, price point and have amenities you wish. I'd look to find 2-3 in each location so you have some choices.
Then call the hotels themselves to see about availability.
Or advise the travel agent that these are the ones you want to persue if available.
Villa Lituania
Piazza Asti 25
00182 Roma
Hosts huge family reunions. It specializes in large groups. It's actually a convent/monastery in a beautiful building with gardens and grotto, and several large outdoor terraces surrounding the building. It is Lithuanian in origin and continues those ties but serves travelers from all over the world.
At your request they have a trained chef who will make lunch and supper for the group. A nice buffet breakfast is already included in the room price. Staff does speak English.
Office closes at night but there's no curfew because you get room keys and keys to an outside door. You will have to check in before the Office closes, however. I just don't know that hour for your arrival day.
It's on the corner of Via Tuscolana and Via Casalmonferrato. It's San Giovanni district but closer to Re di Roma Plaza and Metro stop Re di Roma on Line A. Next nearest Metro stop is Ponte Lungo.
