Anyone familiar with both? I've read good things about both on this forum and elsewhere, but the Grand Hotel Cavour is so much more expensive. Worth the difference? Thanks!

The Grand Hotel Cavour is a 4-star with a roof-top terrace bar overlooking the Duomo. The Pendini is a 3-star hotel on the Piazza della Republica. That pretty much explains the price difference. Whether it is worth it or not is a matter of personal opinion and depth of pocketbook.

I love the Pendini. Be aware that the star system in Italy is largely based on amenities so I would compare the 2 hotels with the amenities offered that are important to me.
