Albergo Pasquale and Hotel Villa Steno in Monterosso are owned by the same folks and the two hotels share a common website. Hotel Villa Steno is high on the hill in Monterosso and Albergo Pasquale is down in the more or less level area of old-town Monterosso.

The only caution I would offer is that Albergo Pasquale sits directly next to the railroad tracks and gobs of trains run through there day and night. I know that some reviewers have complained about the noise.

No room at the Pasquale and unfortunately the Villa has too many steps with carrying our bags.

Thanks Tim. I am sort of rethinking. We have four days so I might book in Rapallo or Santa Margherita the it will be east to carry on to Nice.
