has anyone stayed at the Hotel Parsifal? I'm considering it for a trip back to Italy next Spring. Any info would be appreciated!
thanks!
Dean
Hi Dean. Yes for a week in May. The hotel is a former 12th Century convent and retains much of it's former charm. We pretty much booked the whole place for a week for a wedding (held at the Caruso) . In short, the hotel is a very characterful place with a lovely terrace overlooking the coast to the south. It's a short walk to everything in Ravello. One of the best rooms has a terrace of it's own which is great if you're staying with kids. The hotel is about 3* so it's not pretending to provide the highest in luxury. The rooms are simple but clean and comfortable. The food is very good - a choice of 2 main courses each night and from a fairly critical group there were no criticisms at all. Saving the best to last, the staff are literally the best I have come across in a hotel, probably because it's a family affair. Antonio, the Manager is simply the most charming, obliging man you can meet. Everyone of us (a party of 20) would return tomorrow if we could. Hope this helps. Andy
