Hotel Paba or hotel rosetta in Rome?

I can't decide between Hotel Paba or Rosetta for four nights for quad room(girls trip). Both places have small suite with paba being bit more money but offering breakfast. Both seem to be nice location. Any experiences?

Can't help with the Rosetta, but we stayed at Hotel Paba for three nights in Nov. 2008 and quite liked it. It's a small hotel, so breakfast is served in the room. You ring the front desk and they bring it in. I recall there being yogurt, some pastry, some kind of cheese thingy, crackers, orange juice, and cappucino.

We liked the location, which is around the corner and a short walk (less than 5 mins) from the Colosseum and very close to the Forum. It's about midway between the Colosseo and Cavour metro stops, and the bus stop is nearby as well.

One small warning: the beds are very, very FIRM. If anyone in your party prefers softer beds, this is probably not the place to stay.

i stayed at hotel rosetta for 2 nights last week and liked it alot. its very basic....no breakfast, no internet, but great location, great price and clean rooms. its family-run and everyone is nice and helpful especially the daughter (who speaks english). will probably stay there again.

Judy, I wouldn't pick a hotel just because they offer breakfast. My suggestion would be pick a hotel because of location, and take into consideration what Liz said about the beds. In Rome there are many small places to have breakfast and I think it's nice to try different places. Just my opinion.

Have a great trip!

Thank you for all responses. I booked Hotel Rosetta for 4 nights in mid June. Cono- I am new to this too- I think I asked if area around hotel seemed safe. I have read so much lately while planning that I can't remember. Thanks again

yes judy its safe. its on Via Cavour which is a main, busy street and the subway (Cavour) is like 2 straight blocks away - no turns. and since so many sights are around there the whole 'neighborhood' is lively.
