Hotel Paba/Hotel Lancelot Rome

We are planning a trip to Italy in the fall and are very excited as we haven't been there in many years. Has anyone stayed at the Hotel Paba in recent times and, if so, how was your experience? We have stayed there in the past but it was many years ago.

How about Hotel Lancelot? It seems to be in more of a residential area. Are there any restaurants close by?

Any other hotels in the Monti area that you would recommend?

Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

I have stayed at Hotel Lancelot for my two visits to Rome. The staff are very nice. The rooms don’t have a lot of frills, but they’re comfortable and the prices are reasonable. There are some restaurants in walking distance and it’s walking distance to the Colosseum, the Forum, and St. Clemente Basilica. I would stay there again for sure.

Hi Diane,
This almost certainly isn't helpful to you, but my wife and I stayed at the Hotel Paba back in 2016. It's difficult to believe it was that long ago. Back then it was run by a sweet elderly lady. She let us drop our bags off early on check-in day, and we enjoyed talking with her about the sites and restaurants around the city. Room was clean, breakfast was simple but nice. Restaurants along Via Cavour near the hotel were hit or miss but going a block or two off that street revealed some nicer places. Hope you have a great time and get some more recent input than mine,

Nathan

Thank you Nathan. My apologies for not thanking you earlier - life got in the way of trip planning and I'm just getting back to it now.
