We'll be traveling to Lecce next March and we're looking for recommendations of places to stay. We've looked at Tripadvisor, but would also like some input from folks on this helpline. Grazie!

We stayed at Il Cortile delle Esperidi. It is located a couple of blocks outside the old city walls, and has its own parking. The rooms are large and modern, and there is an elevator. Ours had a kitchen. The breakfast is fabulous, with lots of home-made items. The owners are the most gracious and accommodating people you'd ever hope to meet. If you are looking for a well-priced, lovely place to stay, you can't do better.

We stayed at Il Cortile with my brother and his wife. They were taking a train to Florence, afterwards. I planned to drive them to the station. When I asked the owner for the best way to get there, he promptly offered to drive them, himself. This was just one of the many kindnesses we experienced from those lovely people. I wouldn't be surprised if they would pick you up from the station.
Also, we were able to walk anywhere we wanted to go within Lecce.
