Does anyone have a suggestion for a hotel or B & B in Santa Margherita for one night. We are driving from Florence to Grasse and want to stop mid way for the night.

We've stayed at Fasce and the innskeeper Jane is so horrible (as RS notes) that I can't recommend! We've stayed twice at Lido Palace and it's a great location right on the waterfront by the plaza with lovely views (request). Think their site is still probably www.lidopalacehotel.com. For our second stay I had a reservation and found them listed on some discount hotel site. I asked them to match it and they did. We love to walk to Portofino and ferry back- very nice.
