We're going on the Village Italy tour in May. I have reserved two nights in Venice and one night in Padua before the tour. After encountering difficulty booking my Venice first choices, I decided to book on the island of Murano. We've been to Venice before, and my wife wants to see more of Murano after a too-quick visit the last time we were there. Also, I think it will be nice to be away from the crazy crowds. The hotel offers a shuttle from the airport, which makes it even better.
Did I make a good decision? Any experience staying on Murano?
