I'll be in Rome on my own in October and reserved a room at Hotel Nerva. Can anyone tell me how the neighborhood is? I want to make sure I'll be comfortable coming and going at night. Thanks.
Reviews are good. Would imagine someone would have made note of the neighborhood if it was sketchy. Some places by the train station are questionable but the location of this Hotel seems fine. Enjoy your trip.
I stayed at the Hotel Nerva about a year ago and am returning this weekend. Hotel Nerva is so close to the Roman Forum and the Palatine Hill, you could spit on it. The Colleseum is about a quarter mile walk away. Via Cavor which is just around the corner is full of shops and eating places. The hotel itself is very well kept. the rooms are quite small, but effcient. Anyone interested in Ancient Rome (as I am) could not find a more convenient base of operations. When in Rome one always has to be vigilant, but I see no real safety concerns.
Thanks for the feedback!
