Looking for a hotel near Venice airport as we have a VERY early flight out. Any suggestions?

I had a 6:05 am departure from Venice Airport, but we still stayed at a hotel on Venice Island and took a water taxi.

Check out hotels in Quarto D'Altino. We've reserved a night at the Holiday Inn Express for 70 euros (with AAA discount). They don't have a shuttle, but I believe it's only 5 km from the airport, so a taxi would be okay. We're returning a car at the airport, so we don't need transport. I think we also found another big chain hotel listed at a reasonable, but higher rate, with a free shuttle, in the same town.

You might try www.titianinn.com/home-eng.htm. The Titian Hotel & Residence is 900 meters from the airport. Marriott also has a Courtyard that is .8 miles from the airport. HERE'S THE LINK to that site. Note that if you stay on the main islands and take the water taxi, they are fast but it will cost you 100Euro for the ride. That's $150.

I have a 6:40am flight out of Venice in early March, and I recently posted the say question. Leaving out of the center of Venice seems great, but makes me nervous. I ended up booking a room at the Courtyard Marriot. They are right next to the airport, and can get you there no problem.
Google them and take a look. Tom
