What would be the best hotel to stay at in Milan near the Malpensa Airport for a family of four at the end of a two week trip? We will only be there for one night. Or should we stay in Verona and take the train in the next morning. Our flight leaves at 10:20 I believe.

For a 10:20 flight, you'll need to be at the airport by 8:00. Staying near the airport is probably best. The Hotel Cervo is quite close - between the two Malpensa terminals. It has a shuttle.

I agree with Doug, the Hotel Cervo is a nice, clean hotel with a very good nightly rate, and the breakfast is very good. And Doug is correct, it's very close to either terminal.

I will have to disagree about staying at Hotel Cervo. We arrived there at 10pm and they had "lost" our reservation. We thought we would be sleeping at Malpensa. The desk clerk was fairly rude but did manage to find us a room at Hotel Cardona. This hotel has been redone and the rooms are very nice--KS bed, double pane windows, new bathroom, new carpet, and a very good breakfast which included quiche. BTW, there is a fee to shuttle you from Malpensa (bus will drop you there--do not think of taxi--would cost alot) to Cervo. Cardona does not charge and the next morning it was also free to shuttle you back to airport. We gave the driver a nice tip. Would definitely stay at Cardona again.
