Hi! Can anyone recommend a decent, inexpensive hotel within walking distance of Termini? (I know that may not exist!). We will be arriving from Florence on a Thursday night, with a fairly early flight back home on Friday morning, and I was hoping to find something decent within walking distance of the staion. Don't need fancy, just reasonably clean and decent, as all we will do is crash for the night, get up in the morning and depart. Thanks!

I found a cheap room at Hotel Sonya. Not too far from Termini. It's across the street from the opera house. Decent reviews on tripadvisor and is listed in RS guidebook.

I have stayed twice at Hotel Cervia Roma... It sounds like it might be what you are looking for. A few of the rooms are up long flights of stairs but its cheap, fairly clean and they are nice in their own way.

We stayed at the Ariston Hotel. It's a block away from the Termini.

The Beehive hostel/hotel - about 2 blocks from Termini. Fantastic breakfast but you may not be able to enjoy if your flight is earlier than breakfast service. I liked this place a lot but it books up fast.

We are also big fans of the Hotel Sonya and use it multi day stays when in Rome. However, when doing the quick overnight stay we use the hotel Contilla. A little cheaper, marginal breakfast, but just a block south of Termini out the side door.
You may want to double check your times. If you flight is fairly early, the Leonard Express may not be running early enough for you. The hotel can arrange a shared shuttle which is only slightly more than the LE for two.

Hotel Nardizzi is near the Rome Termini plus the guys that run the hotel know of some fantastic restaurants in the area. You are within walking distance of the Spanish Steps as well.

Hotel Aberdeen. Stayed there in July. Just 10 minutes pulling luggage to Termini Station.
Very nice staff at hotel.
