Any advice for a nice hotel close to Milano Centrale? We're just staying overnight before we head further on, so proximity is key. Somewhere nice is always great, too!

At the end of our trip in July 2009 we spent one night in Milan and stayed at Hotel Berna which is just a few minutes walk from Milano Centrale. There is a metro stop nearby to get to the Duomo, etc. We found Hotel Berna to be very nice and the breakfast buffet is amazing! Probably the best we have ever had in Europe. We stayed in the main hotel (they have an annex across the street too which I am sure is very nice) and would definitely stay here again when in Milan.

Hotel Berna...hands down. We stay there every time we are in Milano and really like the place. Last summer they comped us into their executive rooms across the street because we've stayed there so often. Great place... Buon viaggio,
