Does anyone have a suggestion as to where to stay? I've been looking at reviews on internet sites for the past few hours, my brain has gone to mush and my eyes are crossing! I want a place that's close, has breakfast, non smoking rooms if possible and a shuttle. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thank you!!

Check out the Novotel Milano Malpensa Airport. It is my choice - I got a king superior room with breakfast and shuttle for $109.87 USD in September!

Jenny, we stayed at the First Hotel Malpensa the last night in Italy before flying out. It was a fabulous experience. More of a business hotel, clean, good bed, great buffet breakfast included in room, shuttle to and from airport (although we had trouble calling them from our cell phone upon arrival...got a taxi driver to lend us his cell phone, which worked). We got a great night's sleep before the long trip home, and were sooo glad.

The Hotel Cervo has worked for us several times. It's basic but clean and has a shuttle bus to/from Malpensa. It you don't want to have lunch/dinner there, a very good restaurant is in easy walking distance from the hotel.
