hotel near Milan - Malpen Sa airport

I'd suggest getting a Hotel close to Via Dante, as it's easy to walk from there to a number of sites (Duomo, Sforza Castle), and there are also lots of restaurants in the area. Check the Italy book for Hotel suggestions.

It's easy to get from that area to Malpensa airport via the Malpensa Express which departs from Cadorna station (rather than Milano Centrale). Travel time is about 30 minutes, and the train goes direct to Terminal 1.

Ken's option means you stay in Milan itself, but there are various hotels near Malpensa which may suit you better.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express, and were very pleased with it. Although close to the airport, the hotel is well sound insulated and very modern and well equipped. There is a free shuttle to and from the airport, and the free transfer bus between Terminal One and Terminal Two also passes close by and will stop for you.

My wife and I along with another couple stayed 2 nights at the Best Western Cavalieri Della Corona at Malpensa airport. The exact location is about 5 to 10 minutes off the airport property. They do offer shuttle service from the airport to the hotel and from the hotel back to the airport. We used this hotel for our base and took the train into Milan daily for sightseeing. The train leaves from the airport into Milan and is available all day and evening hours too. When you arrive back from Milan in the evening just call the hotel and they will pick you up. We will stay at this hotel on our next visit to Milan. It is perfect for a couple of days and so close to the airport terminals for early departures. Good luck.

thanks for advice.. one more question. we will arrive in Milan at 14:00 and fly out the next morning. what is suggested for this limited amount of time? also suggestion for dinner to give us a favor of Milan
