We are flying out of Milan (MPX) and would like a recommendation for a hotel near the airport, with shuttle service. Thanks.
Don't have specific hotels to suggest (others will) however you could also stay in Milan and take the Malpensa Express train from the Cadorna station (near the Sforza Castle). 35 min journey to the airport.
Google Malpensa Express.
We can recommend Hotel Cardano, where we stayed a few years ago. It has a free shuttle, comfortable rooms and wonderful service.
Shortly after we checked in we learned that our flight home the next day, to Denver via New York, was cancelled (Hurricane Sandy). After hours on hold with American Airlines (using Skype & a free 800- number thank goodness) we were rebooked on BA through London, on a flight leaving from Linate Airport. At midnight, the front desk clerk was able to arrange a taxi for 5 am & had cappuccinos and fresh croissants waiting for us in the morning before we left.
Will you have a car? We have stayed at Villa della (del?) Rose twice and it's a very nice hotel. They have parking and a shuttle (for a fee). Free breakfast and fine restaurant for dinner.
We have stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn before and will be going back in October. They have a free shuttle to the airport. Also, Hilton is having a Winter Sale and we got a rate of 60 euros. I'm not sure when the sale ends, so you may need to act fast. It's a pre-paid rate as well.
Have stayed at First Hotel Milano a couple of times.. Comfy rooms, free breakfast, shuttle to MXP, and a excellent restaurant right next door.
MOXY Milan Malpensa Airport ( It is part of the Marriott chain)
Right at the terminal. Parking is a ways away.
I used the Sheraton at the airport. Actually attached to the airport, no need for a shuttle. Nice hotel, not too expensive, can't beat the convenience of the location.
