We will be leaving malpensa airport on a flight leaving at 8:45 AM and a re in need of a 3 star hotel that can shuttle us to the airport. Any recommendations?
Should we stay close to this airport or would we be better off in Milan since we will be arriving around 2:00 pm the day before and would like to see some of the milan sites. What do you think?

Check out Hotel Visconti and Cardano Hotel Malpensa ... both are just minutes from the airport and highly rated on Trip Advisor. Both have free shuttles to/from airport. Both will deliver you to and pick you up from a local restaurant, if you'd like, for dinner. They're in a small neighborhood where you could walk around, buy your last gelato, etc. We have not stayed at either yet but have booked the Cardano next month (we arrive at 14:45 the day before, fly out the next morning at 09:00). How will you be arriving in Milan the day before? If by train, you could store your bags and look around Milan before catching the train to the airport and calling the shuttle to the airport hotel. If you're flying in the day before, I suppose you could take the shuttle to the airport hotel, check in, take their shuttle back to the airport, take the train downtown for a while, return by train to airport, take the shuttle back to the hotel. Seems like a lot of effort to me, but I guess that's a personal decision!
