Can anyone recommend a B & B or hotle near Malpensa airport please?
Thanks Sue
The Hotel Cervo (midrange) or the Hotel First (more expensive) are literally between the two Malpensa terminals but are quiet. They both have shuttles to and from the airport and have websites you can Google.
Hi Sue,
Hotel Cervo is a 1/2 mile from the terminals but another real good hotel is the Best Western Cavalieri Della Corona about 2 miles from the airport. The rates for either of these hotels is 105 euro's per night. The Best Western shuttle service runs from 6:00 AM to 11:30 PM daily and no charge. The Cervo charges 3 euro's each way and the schedule is only early morning and late afternoon.

A really good project for someone here (hint, hint, Kent...?) would be to assemble a short list of Malpensa area hotels with stars, shuttle information (to and from the airport) and restaurant info. The question gets asked so frequently because so many departures to connect with flights to the US leave early in the morning.
I always list the Cervo and the First because I know them, but they're in a very dead neighborhood with nothing to do on a last night in Italy. If there are good options in Somma Lombardo or another nearby town that have nearby restaurants or something else to do, that would be good to know.
I would have to advise against the Hotel Cervo. We arrived at 10 pm and they informed us they had lost our reservation--and they were fully booked. After angry words were exchanged they managed to find us a room at Hotel Cardona. They came immediately to pick us up and do not charge for their shuttle--took us over to Malpensa early next am again at no charge. Hotel Cardona has been recently renovated and we had a very nice room with brand new king size bed and great bathroom. The breakfast was good too--they even had quiche.
We stayed at Malpensa House last summer (www.malpensahotel.org) and it was 55E for a double with bath. It was basically just a room in a house, but was perfect for what we were looking for. We arrive in Milan, took a shuttle to Malpensa and then the B&B picked us up. We spent the night and then had a very early AM flight and got a ride from the owner to the airport. Would definetly stay there again.
also recently stayed at the Hotel Cardona. It was one of the nicest hotels we stayed at (out of four) in Italy.
I don't know Milan well at all (actually, been years since I've been there) and we were having the same question (i.e. early flight leaving out of Milan back home) -
I just booked at the Le Méridien Gallia....anyone have any experience staying there? ok choice?? the hotels out by the airport looked kind of yucky and there weren't any restaurants around, so we though to maybe stay near the direct airport bus??
I agree with Doug. Someone please make a list. We will be driving in to Milan late in the day, with an early morning flight home. I don't want to spend a lot of money just to spend the night. But I do want something decent. I checked out Cervo and First, but both were over $200. Isn't there anything less expensive and near the airport?
Wow! If it's asking $200/night, the Cervo has become more expensive than it was last year. Of course, so has the Euro...
