Has anyone stayed at the Hotel Nazionale in Rome? Is the superior room worth the extra $80 per night? I don’t mind spending extra if the room is significantly better. Also I found a similarly priced highly rated 3 star hotel on the Piazza Navona. What are your thoughts on which is a better location and comfortable stay?

Hotel Nazionale has been my favorite Rome hotel since 2012 with 4 stays. I always choose the least expensive room so I can't comment on the superior but for a short stay it may be worth it. They have been remodeling many rooms lately and all we've used have been very nice. The Piazza Navone area is also nice and about a 5-6 minute walk from the Nazionale. Pluses for the Nazionale are a 1 minute walk to Via Corso (major shopping area), 5 minute walk to the Pantheon, many good restaurants nearby, excellent breakfasts, helpful staff, and Golitti Gelato is right around the corner.
